Mr Shah B Ambalal is the Managing Partner of Grant Thornton Uganda.

He is responsible for client relations, marketing, human resources and client service in the firm. He has been a partner in accountancy practice for the past 45 years and has got over 50 years experience in auditing, accountancy and taxation. Mr. Shah worked as a Partner in a big 4 accounting firm before starting his own accounting practice A M Shah & Sons in Kenya and Uganda.

He grew the firm as a sole practice until 2000 when it joined Grant Thornton International and acquired a new identity. He has offered proactive advice on all business issues to CEO's of large and small organizations across a diverse range of industries including manufacturing, oil exploration and drilling, trade and transportation, tourism, hotel and health care, construction and real estate, agriculture, insurance, security, technology, aviation, education and not for profit organisations. Mr Shah is a graduate of bachelor of Commerce and a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda, Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya and Certified Public Administrators and Secretaries of the UK.
